Affiliate disclosure
How this site makes money, and what that does and doesn't affect.
Updated 18 Oct 2026
Summary
Links to retailers on this site are affiliate links. If you follow one and buy something, the retailer pays us a commission. You pay the same price either way.
We label this wherever the links appear, with a short note marked Ad, because UK advertising rules require marketing to be obviously identifiable (CAP Code, rule 2.1), and because you should know.
What commission doesn’t change
- What we recommend. The quiz and our lists follow published rules based on specifications and your answers. They don’t know which retailers pay commission or how much.
- Which retailer we show first. Offers are sorted by stock, then price.
- Prices. We show the price from the retailer’s own feed and the date we last checked it.
Retailers and networks
We work with retailers through affiliate networks such as Awin, and directly with some
specialist shops. Links usually pass through a short redirect on our own site (addresses
starting /go/) so we can keep links up to date and count clicks in aggregate. We don’t use
the redirect for retailers whose terms don’t allow it, such as Amazon.
As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. Until we have access to Amazon’s product data service, we don’t show Amazon prices. You’ll see “Check price at Amazon” instead.
What we never accept
We don’t accept payment, free products or other incentives in return for including a product, ranking it higher or writing about it favourably. If that ever changes for a specific piece, it will be labelled clearly at the top.
